How to Reach Supa Deurali Temple
By Road from Kathmandu
The most common route is by road. The journey from Kathmandu to Supa Deurali takes approximately 10-12 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
- Distance: ~350 km from Kathmandu
- Route: Kathmandu → Mugling → Narayanghat → Butwal → Sandhikharka → Supa Deurali
- Transport: Tourist bus, local bus, private car, or motorcycle
- Bus Fare: NPR 800-1200 (depends on bus type)
From Butwal/Bhairahawa
If you're arriving by air or from India, Butwal/Bhairahawa is the nearest major town.
- Distance: ~80 km from Butwal to Supa Deurali
- Time: 2-3 hours by car
- Route: Butwal → Sandhikharka (47 km) → Supa Deurali (20 km from Sandhikharka)
Road to the Temple
The Gorusinge–Sandhikharka road leading to Supa Deurali is narrow but fully paved. It winds through beautiful mountain scenery but requires careful driving, especially during monsoon. The final 20 km stretch from Sandhikharka to the temple is a steep jeep track.
